Diario Sport reports that Chadi Riad will be Barcelona first player in the 2024/2025 season.

The Catalans will pay 7 million to Betis triggering a buy-back clause in his loan deal. The center back will be considered as the first team player with the Blaugrana.

Interestingly the Moroccan player is still a Barcelona player today. The club sent him to Betis on loan in the summer with a buy out clause of 3.5 million if he shows a certain amount of play.

The 20 year old has been linked with a move to Andalusia and has made 13 La Liga appearances so far leading to a number of buy backs. While still a loan player everyone mistakenly considers him a Betis player.

The loan deal between Barca and Betis also has a return 7 million buyout clause that the Catalans have agreed to make.
